Since this forum requires you to log in with your apple id, I had to create a new apple id, so that I coudl ask someone - anyone - why I am not getting the text confirmation needed to reset the password. I just want to reset my apple id password - and YES I know it can be done on line, except it simply does not work if it fails to send the confirmation message to the phone number. But the one necessary to change the address simply does not get sent and I don't know why. The phone works fine, and I receive other texts all the time. I can't do anything and the SMS for confirmation simply is not working. So I went to the web page, verified the phone number again, and STILL the confirmation message never arrives. The automated system said it could send me a link to the page, so I said "yes" and it sent me a link. It told me the same thing, I verified the phone number, it said it was sending a confirmation code, but the code as NEVER come. I never receive it.įor a few days I thought that maybe the Apple system was broken, so I waited and tried again.

It then says it is sending me a verification code to the phone. I start to do password reset, and I get asked to verify my phone number, which I do. Password reset simply does not work Password reset simply is not working for me. So I tried to get it to send me a 6 digit verification code,but as soon as I tried to slide up to go to another screen then it would put me back the start again to try signing in all over again! The new code was sent to my email but it wouldn’t work once I got logged back into iCloud ! Why is this happening ? Or is it just something I’m not seeing?
Then I had to verify Face ID to try a code to email, but when I got it to send another 6 digit code with Face ID, to try another way. Also to use the code from ‘one of my devices’ I was logged into.) ALTHOUGH IVE NEVER LOGGED INTO ANOTHER DEVICE BESIDES THIS IPHONE.
(This still asks for verification code after it said too many texts codes sent. I tried all 0’s and it said that the verification code I entered was invalid. So I was going to go out to try something different and it says to add the verification code of. Tried to log into ICloud with forgotten password and it had me verify phone number to sent a code for text message, then pops up not enough information and then sent me too many text codes or try again later.
